“Your Video Production Sucks”

thumbnail
That’s how  a guy who wanted my business approached me in an e-mail. After spouting the great benefits of using him and his company to improve my videos he then proceeded to rag about some of my videos and their production quality. He even went so far to say he could not imagine that any viewer would not hit the “close” button once they started watching my video.

What do you think of someone who tries to get your business by criticizing something you are actually very proud of?

Needless  to say, he won’t be getting a penny from me.

Keep in mind, this is different than somebody critiquing a video from either a production standpoint or a content standpoint. In fact, as I’ve mentioned many times before, I have the ability to moderate comments where ever my videos are located. 99.9% of the time I will not remove comments that criticize any aspect of a video I created. Why not? Because I want a viewer to actually read those comments and judge for themselves whether the comment is warranted.

I am pleased to say that 99.99% of my videos that are watched generate great comments.

I actually told this marketing “guru” that my viewers personally thank me for creating the content in my videos. Contrary to his close-minded view, my production values, personally speaking, don’t suck.

When a marketing “expert” tells you that everything you are doing is wrong, and his solutions are the only way to help your business, you may want to step back and think about what this experts’ agenda really is.

Do you want a really slick video with animated flying graphics, and a Hollywood-style appearance? Or do you want to present a clear, concise compelling message that gets a viewer to call you, without being distracted by all the other nonsense? I leave the answer to you and your viewers.

If however you would like an answer from me,  then send me an e-mail to Gerry@lawyersvideostudio.com and I’ll be happy to reply.

Thanks for taking the time to read my blog.

Testimonials

I looked up what kind of production companies are out there producing the kind of videos that I was interested in. And really, I was dissatisfied with the vast majority of the videos that were out there. They were not what I was looking for – except for Gerry Oginski. We were looking for someone who understood our needs and yet had the expertise to be able to pull all of the necessary components of producing a video and getting it uploaded. Gerry was the one who stood completely head and shoulders above anybody else’s out there.
