The Power of An Interview

Gerry Oginski interviewed by Trial Attorney David Lesch. David Lesch, Nick Timko, Leslie Kelmachter, Gerry Oginski

David Lesch, a fellow Trial Lawyer in the Bronx asked me to come onto his show called Today’s Verdict to talk about a book I wrote called “Beyond the ER Doors.

Getting free publicity is one of the best ways to get yourself known and get recognized.

I was recently contacted by the producer of “Today’s Verdict” a show that looks at legal issues in New York. The show is hosted by fellow trial lawyer David Lesch and is done live at Lehman College in the Bronx. Before agreeing to the show, I did a considerable amount of research about the host, the show, their reach and other guests who had previously appeared on the show.

I reached out to a mutual friend who had previously appeared on the show to ask about his experience. Based upon all that I learned, I agreed to proceed forward.

Keep in mind, that not every interview you do will be on a major news network, and that’s OK. It allows you the opportunity to publicize your interview and to maximize your exposure when someone else interviews you. It highlights your expertise and now you can use that information to market yourself, which lends greater credibility to your expertise.

Take a look at my interview which starts at 18:29. The host and I had such a good time off and on the set, it was if I was talking to an old friend I hadn’t seen in years. Take a look at the interview and let me know what you think. What questions would you have asked in order to elicit great responses and a get a great interview?

I decided to create a whole video library to help educate consumers in my market about auto accidents and other injury claims, and also to help supplement other advertising. I chose not to do this on my own because I do not have the time to sit down and put all this together and figure it all out. And I wanted sort of a turnkey solution. I definitely recommend Gerry. I mean, you know, I think it’s a great program and I have been here all day and I’ve shot, I don’t know, 40, 50 videos. And so it’s hard to get that accomplished especially for what you’re getting. You know, you have to go to a studio somewhere, it’s on site. And I would definitely – the ease of this – I would definitely recommend it to any colleague or friend.
