Lawyer Video Marketing: Why Don’t We Brand Your Videos With Our Name?

My "Branded" Video Producer Chair

Have you ever watched an attorney video and seen the company that created the video plaster their name prominently on the intro graphic? Maybe you’ve seen the video company’s name at the end of the video. Maybe they quietly put their company name into the keyword section of your video. I’ve seen that before.

Why don’t we, in the Lawyers Video Studio, plaster our name on the videos we create for lawyers across the country? Simple.

We don’t have to.

You are not paying me to advertise on your educational video. I would never put my name on your video.

Why not? The video is not about me, rather, it’s all about how you can help your consumer. We work behind-the-scenes.

Why then do some video companies continue to “brand” your videos with their names? The answer is also simple. They want to use your video to market their business. Now don’t get me wrong. There’s nothing wrong with doing that, and I understand their motivation for doing so. Just like a car dealer bolts that frame around your license plate with their name.

However, my best practices recommendation is not to let your video company put their name or logo on YOUR video. Unless of course they pay you for that privilege.

How then would you know that the Lawyers Video Studio created a particular video? The answer is again simple. By our style. By the content. By what the attorney says. Otherwise, you’d never know it was us. The only real way to know if a really smart lawyer has used our services is to ask them. It’s that simple. Then, ask what they thought of their video experience with us.

Then, decide for yourself whether you’d like to join the exclusive Lawyers Video Studio community. Then give us a call to see if we’re the right fit for your video marketing needs. You can reach us at 1-800-320-4314 and leave a message or send an email to We welcome your call!

Gerry – I can’t thank you enough for guiding me through what would have been a disaster had anyone but you been behind the camera. My power point slides somehow disappeared from my laptop when using the hotel wireless internet … or maybe it was my “fat finger.” In any event, I knew the stuff because I had been giving public seminars on the content for years. But I tend to freeze without a visual cue. So, without visual cues, the day could well have been a huge disaster. While my practice niche is Elder Law, not PI or MedMal, you were like a football or basketball coach; despite my usual stumbles without visual cues, you were successful in getting me to go beyond the stumbles to a successful video shoot. Many thanks for your coaching!
