Why Would You Ever Consider Using a Video Company if They Couldn’t Prove to You That Their Videos Generated Calls?

I speak to lawyers across the country about video marketing every day. I am amazed that really smart attorneys ignore the most important question when deciding which video company to hire to create their educational videos.

Many attorneys are focused on the price. Naturally, that is always an important consideration.

However, I find that the attorneys who are so focused on price tend to ignore the most important question…

“Have the videos you created generated valid calls, valid cases and generated a profit for the law firm?”

That to me, is the most important question for any attorney who is trying to create video to market his law firm.

Let’s face it, anyone at this point can create video and put it up online. Anyone.

  • But not everyone can create a compelling message.
  • Not everyone can present their material well.
  • Not everyone is interesting to watch.

It’s great to want to put up video to market yourself and your law firm. But you have to have a key strategy to do that. You have to understand the tactics behind that. You have to understand what works and what doesn’t.

The only question an attorney should be asking any video company they are considering hiring is “Have the videos you created for other attorneys generated calls?”

If yes, ask them how many.

Then, ask them to prove it.

Then ask, of those calls how many turn into valid cases? Ask them for a specific number. They won’t be able to prove it.

Then, ask them whether the videos they created have generated a profit for the law firm. If yes, ask them how much exactly.

They won’t be able to prove it. They won’t be able to give you any specifics.

Then ask them whether they use the same strategies and tactics by creating videos for their own marketing and whether that has gotten them attorneys as clients. If yes, ask them exactly how many and ask to speak to those attorneys.

When you are interested in creating great educational video to market your law firm, the investment to create those videos are but one factor.

The much more important factor is whether that company has created videos that compel someone to pick up the phone and call.

Gerry is an absolute master at getting you to relax and speak to the camera in such a way that the clients – the potential clients – are going to be receptive to the message that you’re giving them. I decided to use video to market my law firm because YouTube is the second largest video search website on the internet, next to Google.
