Burn Victim Comes Into Office Saying “I Feel Like I Already Know You”

A potential new client came into my office yesterday and said something that I hear constantly. With a big, affectionate smile and a hearty handshake, the first words I heard were “Mr. Oginski, I feel as if I already know you.”

“You look the same as you do on your videos.”
“I’ve watched so many of your videos…”
“You were talking to me in your video…”
“I want you to handle my case because you’re the right one for me.”

Have you ever had clients tell you this?

No?
You mean you have to get them to like you and trust you only when they first meet you? You mean you have to sell yourself to them every time a new client comes into your office? Why? Don’t they know all about you? Don’t you give them useful information they need to know before they ever meet you?

Chances are that if you’re not creating video in the Lawyers Video Studio, you’re not giving your potential clients useful content that they need to know. Chances are good that you have not maximized your knowledge and expertise and leveraged that information to create an entire system to market yourself and your law firm.

Systems are vital to increase your productivity and leverage your time to maximize your revenue. Here’s a perfect example that I’ve seen marketing guru Dan Kennedy refer to.

Compare two hamburger joints 30 years ago. Both sell hamburgers. One is run by a mom and pop and it’s their life. The other is run by a sharp and savvy business owner. Fast forward 30 years. The mom and pop burger shop is still there. Mom and pop are still toiling away, doing what they enjoy. Mom’s the face of the place and dad is the cook. The other burger place is McDonalds.

The difference? Systems. McDonalds developed systems for every aspect of a customer’s experience. Regardless of what you think of fast food, look past that and examine the systems they created to become a success.

The same can be true for lawyers. You can be the best lawyer in the world. Working 60-80 hours per week, no vacations and only one or two paralegals. 30 years later, you’re still working as a noble lawyer, but toiling away doing the same thing. Or, you can create systems that allow you to grow, expand and leverage your knowledge with the expertise of others.

What type of system allows you to target your high-value potential clients? What system allows you to create a marketing message one time and have it repeated hundreds and thousands of times all for the exact same cost of NOTHING? What system allows you the ability to market yourself 24 hours/day, 365 days a year without you having to do any work except create the original message?

The only system that allows you to do that is video.

A video library specifically.

If you want your potential clients to come into your office already liking you; already trusting you and begging you to take their case, you need to create a video library.
