AVVO Conference 2011; SEO for Attorneys

2011 Avvo Conference on SEO for Lawyers

We rolled out the red carpet once again for lawyers at the conference in Orlando, Florida.

2 Months ago, I was at Ken Hardison’s legal marketing seminar called PILMMA (Personal Injury Marketing and Management Association). The director of marketing for AVVO, Conrad Saam, asked me to participate in their upcoming legal marketing seminar on SEO. I was excited. There was going to be some really cool speakers from some highly recognizable companies like Microsoft, LinkedIn, Google, Avvo, and Apple.

Turns out that Apple couldn’t make it. Want to know who took Apple’s place? I did.
Now that’s cool.

There were over 100 lawyers at the AVVO conference. They came from across the country. That’s one of the really amazing things about going to legal marketing seminars; you get to meet interesting people who have a desire to learn how to take their marketing to the next level.

I was joined at Avvo by my production team; Harry Brockman- the master of all things video. His lovely wife Kathleen, our production manager, and Scott Pruitt, a grand-master video producer.

We rolled out the red carpet (literally) and created our mini video studio for the benefit of every lawyer attending the conference. Our goal? To show each lawyer how we create video for them. They each got a mini-coaching and mastermind session. Every lawyer who created a video with me was automatically entered into a grand prize drawing that consisted of one lucky lawyer winning a mini video shoot consisting of 5 videos and a custom video channel.

Eric Bolves, Grand Prize Winner in the Lawyers Video Studio standing with Founder, Gerry Oginski

The grand prize winner on day two of the seminar was Orlando Bankruptcy attorney Eric Bolves. When Conrad Saam picked his name out of the bowl, Eric yelled out “No Way!”

“Yes way,” was my reply. Congratulations Eric! Your five videos and your video channel will be up shortly. By the way, you did a great job with your content.

By the way, if you are a member of your local or national bar association and you are looking for a speaker for your next major conference, you need look no further. Contact my production manager, Kathleen at 1-800-320-4314 or kathleen@lawyersvideostudio.com to check my availability.

Gerry is an absolute master at getting you to relax and speak to the camera in such a way that the clients – the potential clients – are going to be receptive to the message that you’re giving them. I decided to use video to market my law firm because YouTube is the second largest video search website on the internet, next to Google. And at some point in time, is probably going to overtake Google. So, I think it’s absolutely critical to have content out there to appeal to potential clients in your practice area. I would go to Gerry Oginski and really learn what a master in this area would do for you. Because it is absolutely clear that Gerry’s understanding of shooting video – in particular for personal injury trial lawyers- is so far beyond anybody else in this area that you would doing yourself a real disservice if you spent your money any other way
