Attorneys: Here’s a List of Web Video Companies You Need To Know About

thumbnailIn order to find a web video company to produce your lawyer video you typically have to do an extensive Google search or click on one of the banner ads that these companies use to promote their services.

I decided instead to post a comprehensive list of web video companies, as a resource, for lawyers to use. In the near future I may post reviews of each of these video production companies, but for right now, here’s a list- in no particular order. By the way, before deciding to call any of these companies, I strongly encourage you to read my article “9 Questions You Must Ask Before Choosing a Video Production Company.

Ok- if you know of others that are worth your time and money, send me an email and I’ll include them here as well.

Oh yes, I should have also included a plug for my own video production company, The Lawyers’ Video Studio, 516-487-8207.

Where else have you seen another lawyer helping fellow lawyers get onto video? Where else have you seen an experienced trial lawyer with over 200 educational videos for his own law practice, create, produce and upload videos for other lawyers? Where else have you seen an experienced video producer who is also a seasoned trial lawyer? Where else have you seen a web video company create a simple turn-key video production system to get you on video, where all you have to do is show up? Where else can you find a video production company that creates, produces and uploads your videos, optimizes them, blogs about them, tweets about them and posts them on their own blog? Right here. (If you know of someone else who does all those things, please let me know! I’d love to meet him or her.)

When choosing your web video production company, choose wisely. It’s your marketing dollars hard at work. Make your dollars work for you.

Thanks for taking the time to read my blog. Have a great day!

  • Gerry – Why should I choose you rather than Tom Foster’s Fairfax Video Studio? I have your & Tom’s book (but have not had the time to finish it) so I assume you and he may have had a falling out. It seems your videos are more folksy (shot at your desk) while his are more polished with halos behind the attorney, etc. I assume you taught him what he knows, but he has taken his knowledge and added a touch of “art”. In any event, give me more to hang my hat on.
PS I’ll have follow up questions after I get your answer on this question.
    Thanks, Richard

  • Hi Richard,
You don’t have to choose. Instead you should do both. Last year I had the pleasure of going down to the Fairfax video studio in Virginia and interviewed Tom Foster and got a tour of the studio and his offices. He’s got a great set up. Lawyers fly into Virginia and they have the ability to create an entire series of videos using green screen, all the latest high-tech gadgetry including Teleprompter, sound deadening material, high-definition video, professional lighting and more.

You should know that Tom and I are very good friends and we did not have a “falling out” as you incorrectly assumed. Tom and his video partner Jim Folliard do a great job of creating attorney video, and in my opinion, Tom is the best webmaster in the country who truly ‘gets’ attorney marketing. Two weeks ago I had the opportunity to speak to more than 250 attorneys at Ben Glass’ Great Legal Marketing super conference in Fairfax Virginia about video marketing for attorneys. After my lecture, I had a chance to talk at length with Jim Folliard, the video pro behind the Fairfax video studio. Jim is great at what he does and also understands how to create great quality video for attorneys.

Keep in mind that not all attorneys want to travel across the country to fly in and shoot video in a video studio. One of the great benefits of my program is that we send a professional videographer, that I personally trained to you, so you can shoot video directly in the comfort and convenience of your office or home. In addition, with my total online video solution for attorneys, you and I have a mastermind coaching call before we ever shoot any video. The purpose of that call is to map out content for your videos that we will create as well as creating a blueprint for all of your future video content as well.

The incredible benefit that I have over every video producer in the country is that not only am I a seasoned medical malpractice trial lawyer, but I am also an experienced video producer with over 300 videos to my credit. I find that many attorneys prefer to work with a fellow lawyer since I am able to identify what content will compel a viewer to pick up the phone and call compared to a video producer with no legal background.

To answer your question, I believe you should do both. Create a highly polished videos that you see coming out of Tom Foster’s video studio and also create video in your own office. It gives viewers the opportunity to see you in different settings and gives different formats in which provide useful content that will educate your viewer and show that you are the expert compared to your competitor. I encourage you to explore what I offer with my Total Online Video Solution for Attorneys and if you have questions, please pick up the phone and schedule a phone conference with me. Thanks for taking the time to leave feedback and ask your questions.

    Best regards,

Gerry – I can’t thank you enough for guiding me through what would have been a disaster had anyone but you been behind the camera. My power point slides somehow disappeared from my laptop when using the hotel wireless internet … or maybe it was my “fat finger.” In any event, I knew the stuff because I had been giving public seminars on the content for years. But I tend to freeze without a visual cue. So, without visual cues, the day could well have been a huge disaster. While my practice niche is Elder Law, not PI or MedMal, you were like a football or basketball coach; despite my usual stumbles without visual cues, you were successful in getting me to go beyond the stumbles to a successful video shoot. Many thanks for your coaching!
