Attorney Marketing: How to Ethically Kick Your Competitors Out of Your Online Video Space

soccerballThere’s some pretty big heavy hitters in your marketplace. They spend a lot of money each month on television ads, radio ads and even billboards. You’re trying to find ways to keep up with them and stand out from the crowd.

You learn that they are also spending tons of money online not just to create great organic content but also with banner ads and pay per click.

You see that they have now entered the video space but you quickly learn that they only have a few videos that they put online and on their website.

These lawyers and law firms are excellent at attorney marketing. But you notice something about their video marketing.

You recognize that their videos are not optimized. You see that their videos are not compelling. The videos they created are highly polished but have nothing to do with their consumers. The videos are lawyer-centric. They focus only on the attorneys and the law firm. They talk about what great results they have achieved. They talk about how long they have been in business.

You finally see an opening and an opportunity.

How can you take advantage of this opportunity? How can you ethically and properly take your competitors out of the online video space that you compete in?

  • The reality is that you cannot do anything to their videos.
  • The reality is that you cannot and should never disparage any attorney online.
  • The reality is that you cannot change Google’s algorithm or YouTube’s algorithm.
  • The reality is that as an attorney who abides by the highest ethical standards, you are literally going to ignore your competitors videos.

Instead, you’re going to focus on your own videos. You’re going to make the best quality videos you can and create tons and tons of great educational attorney videos and put them online.

All of this will be organic and natural. There will be no monkey business. There will be no fluff. There will be no artificially inflated video views. There will be no video spam. There will be no creating a single video and making 4000 variations of it with every town that you have in your state.

Instead, you are simply going to create great educational content that your viewers want and need. You’re going to do it on a consistent basis. You’re going to pump out fresh new video content every single month. You’re also going to ethically promote your videos using social media without saying “come to me because I’m great!”

By the end of a year, you will have pumped out a tremendous amount of organically searched content. The difference between you and your competitors is that they have stopped putting up video after shooting only a handful of them.

The reality is that when you continue to pump out great new frequent content that is compelling, interesting and useful you will literally push out all of your competitors from your online video space.

Simply by continuing to crank out great new video content, your competitors get pushed by the wayside ethically and organically. That’s how you dominate your online video marketing space.

Gerry, We were so happy to finally meet you. We thought that we knew a thing or two about using video in our law practice until we discovered you.
You are the man. Meeting you last week prompted us to completely rethink our video strategy AND we decided that we weren’t doing nearly enough. You light a fire under our butts!
We are now back in Seattle and refocusing and redoubling our video marketing efforts! Thanks Gerry!
