I Can’t Stand Attorney Video Spam, Can You?

spamJust like Google slapped lawyers and businesses for having phony backlinks on their websites suffered through Panda and Penguin algorithm updates, YouTube will soon catch on to video companies that create attorney video spam.

How can you spot video spam? There are a few different ways:

The attorney creates a single video.
From that one single video, the company adds or subtracts a few seconds at the end of the video to create many ‘versions’ of the same exact video.
The video company then creates hundreds or thousands of variations of the title and includes every single town in their state.
This creates a single video with many title variations.

In theory this is designed to get someone in a specific town to find this video when a person in that town does a search for that type of attorney. The problem is that YouTube uses many metrics in their algorithm to decide which videos show up higher in the search results.

Even if a viewer were to somehow find this video, it is unlikely this one single video will convert an online viewer to a caller. It’s unlikely this one single video about one topic will generate trust with… Continue reading
