Your Law Firm is Doomed If You Don’t Have Video

Yes, I will be the first to say it now. Your law firm will become obsolete if you do not adapt and put video on your website. Come back with me a few years. Why did you create a website? Because other lawyers were using new technology to ‘get their name out there’, right? You didn’t want to be left behind. Why did you join Facebook? Everybody was doing it and you realize it’s not just hype to be on FB. The social implications are huge. Same for Twitter and LinkedIn. Continue reading

Caught! Lawyer Confesses He Doesn’t Like CLE

It's true. I finally confessed. I used to love going to live CLE seminars about trial practice, direct examination, cross examination, jury selection, opening arguments, summations and legal updates. I loved learning everything possible from attorneys who were in the trenches every day trying cases. While trying to learn how to become a marketing student and expand my marketing horizons, I noticed that none of the bar associations we're giving any seminars about legal marketing. I began to call different bar associations asking if there were any classes or seminars on legal marketing. The answers were all disturbingly familiar. “We don't feel that lawyers need to take classes or CLE seminars about marketing.” “Marketing seminars are beneath us and we simply don't have time in our schedule.” Continue reading

Get a Sneak Peak Behind Our Video Shoot in Lubbock, Texas

How does an attorney shoot 50 videos in one day? Then answer for Stephen Hamilton, a criminal defense DWI attorney in Lubbock, Texas, is...easy. Stephen made it all so easy. Why? He did his homework. He practiced his content. He rehearsed. He did it over and over again. He was prepared and it made all the difference in the world. Lawyers who join my video success program know that after our mastermind call, they have some work to do. They have to create their content and then practice over and over again. That's exactly what Stephen did. Congratulations to another really smart attorney. Continue reading

Gerry is an absolute master at getting you to relax and speak to the camera in such a way that the clients – the potential clients – are going to be receptive to the message that you’re giving them. I decided to use video to market my law firm because YouTube is the second largest video search website on the internet, next to Google. And at some point in time, is probably going to overtake Google. So, I think it’s absolutely critical to have content out there to appeal to potential clients in your practice area. I would go to Gerry Oginski and really learn what a master in this area would do for you. Because it is absolutely clear that Gerry’s understanding of shooting video – in particular for personal injury trial lawyers- is so far beyond anybody else in this area that you would doing yourself a real disservice if you spent your money any other way
