Attorney Marketing: Talk The Language Your Clients Speak

What do I mean?

I was in a Chinese restaurant the other night picking up dinner for my family when the owner started talking to a customer in Hebrew. He was wishing him well and hoped he enjoyed his food. I was fascinated. Why?

The owner was Chinese and was speaking a language that many of his customers spoke. It was so unusual. A Chinese restaurant owner speaking Hebrew? Wow. How many business owners would go out of their way to learn a language that many of their customers spoke? Especially a language that is not native to their country. Not many.

What does this have to do with creating attorney video? Everything.

Think about your clients. Do they speak Spanish, German, French, Hebrew or any other language? Are you proficient in another language? Do you converse with your clients in their native language? If the answer is “Yes” to any of those questions, then you should be creating video in your clients’ native language.

I have seen only a handful of attorneys create Spanish language video clips. Those clips were mostly reminiscent of the Spanish TV ads that mostly screamed at you. Use your knowledge of education-based marketing to create your informational video in your clients’ native language. How different is that? That will get you noticed by an entirely different segment of viewers looking for an attorney online.

Thanks for taking the time to read my blog.
