4 Reasons Why Attorney Video Is Better Than the yellow pages

car_accidents-do_you_even_need_an_attorney 1. It’s interactive and you get to tell a story.

2. A viewer gets to see you, hear you and form a bond with you.

3. The amount of information you want to include in unlimited.

4. You get more ‘bang for your buck’ with video than with the yellow pages

If there are 40 pages worth of lawyer ads, all saying pretty much the same thing, why would a consumer realistically pick your ad, if you’re at page 27? I’ll tell you why. Because that potential client has called the other 26 lawyers ahead of you and none of them want the case.

By creating educational video, you, as a lawyer, get to stand out from the crowd. You get to give an informative and interesting message that you’d never find in the yellow pages. Besides, most people today go online to search for an attorney. If your video has a compelling message, you are much more likely to get a call than someone who does not have a video.

I heard recently that some lawyers like the yellow pages and still get calls. That’s good…if you’re in the first few pages of the lawyer’s section. If you’re in a very competitive market like New York, it costs a fortune to have a full page or double page or even four page spread. What’s your ROI?

When you create attorney video, you create it one time and have it watched hundreds or maybe thousands of times. All for the same exact price. There is no better advertising tool that allows you to get a better return on your investment.

So, if you want to keep paying your money to the yellow pages, go right ahead. I’ll just keep creating my educational attorney videos.

Thanks for taking the time to read my blog.

    Gary –

I agree with some of your points, but it’s important to point out the differences.

Online video does a great job of building trust, communication, integrity, and establishing someone as an authority (if done properly).

As proof, you’ve established a ton of credibility using video.

One major challenge is getting the video seen by the potential client.

A properly designed Yellow Page ad can act as a funnel to get prospects to view your video.

The Yellow Pages will be used by a large number of people to point them in the right direction.

Give people a compelling reason to engage in a conversation with you, and “Free Initial Consultation” isn’t it.

Call for a free video about the “Seven Trick Questions Insurance Adjusters Ask to Keep from Paying Settlements” will give you the benefit of video communication with the broad reach and lead generation.

What you want to do is to get people to call your office, give you contact information and allow you to keep communicating with them and begin building trust.

When you have their email, you can send them a link to the video, or if you produce a DVD, you can get their mailing address and their email address.

    Keep up the great advice!

    Hi, Gerry,

You’re right on target with your promotion of video marketing for lawyers. Potential clients of lawyers, in particular, are looking for a person they can trust with their case. There is no better method of building trust than face to face interaction and a video is the next best thing to being there.

The effectiveness of Yellow Pages marketing is declining rapidly in general. However, I need to still be in it because a large number of my potential clients in my adoption law practice don’t have access to a computer. But I am creating a video for those who do. Contrast that with the number of potential members of my organization the National Association of Entrepreneurs who most definitely will find the organization online!

Thanks for your generous sharing of information on your site!
