How Long Should Your Attorney Video Shoot Take?

I was speaking to a rep at a large web video company yesterday. I wanted to know the cost to create video with them. The rep told me that they take a 1/2 day to shoot video on location.

I then asked “For that half a day of video, how many video clips do I get?”

The rep replied that I get TWO video clips!

“Ok, but how long is each video clip?” I inquired.

“One minute each,” came the reply.

“Wow,” was all I could think of.

What was the approximate cost to create TWO video clips lasting no more than one minute each? About $6,000!

I will tell you that this company’s videos are fine from a technical standpoint. Any attorney would be proud of their video if they went with this company. (If you want their name, email me and I’ll tell you.) However, I had a big problem with the length of time it takes to shoot video and the total completed footage you get as a finished product.

When I shoot video for an attorney, I shoot for about one hour. From that one hour of video, I am able to get FOUR to FIVE usable video clips lasting anywhere from ONE to THREE MINUTES in length. The attorneys do not use a script; only an outline.

I simply cannot understand how it takes a half a day to shoot video and then get only two completed video clips lasting one minute in length each. For lawyers who want to get that particular product (I am told they have other packages) then I wish them luck. But here’s my question:

“What happens when repeat viewers to your website see your same two videos over and over again?” Won’t they get tired of those same videos? I think so.

That’s why I feel it is so important to create a series of videos so you can rotate them on your website or blog. This ensures that viewers see different videos when they return to your site for more information. No matter which video company you choose to create your videos, ask them how much it costs to create multiple series of videos…each month! Then, when you have those answers, I want you to go to my Turn-key system and learn how my video incentive program can help you stand out from the crowd. I encourage you to call me to get you onto video today, 516-487-8207.

Have a great day!
