2 Reasons Why Most Legal Marketing Doesn’t Work

Here are the two reasons why most lawyer marketing will fail…

  1. The attorney has no strategy and

  2. The attorney wants a cheap solution.

That’s it.

Failing to have a clear strategy about where you want to go is a guaranteed recipe to not getting any results.

Here is a perfect analogy. It’s like getting in your car and just driving aimlessly turning right and left whenever the urge arises. Without a clear destination, you are driving around with no ultimate destination.

If instead you know you are going to visit a friend, then you can map out exactly the direction to get there. Drive for 5 miles on the highway, take the next exit, turn right, proceed half a mile, turn left and arrive at your destination. In that limited analogy, you have a clear goal. To arrive at your friend’s house. The execution of your strategy involves getting into your car and knowing the exact directions that will get you there.

Lawyers who simply want to copy what others are doing on video, have no clear strategy and are simply following the crowd.

That is a sure guarantee of driving aimlessly.

Lawyers think that creating video is simply a commodity.

  • Any wedding videographer can do it.
  • Anyone who shoots a commercial can do it.
  • Any high school kid with an iPhone can do it.

Sure they can.

Now it’s simple and easy to shoot video.

Remember, our consumers correlate our legal ability with the quality of our videos.

You can find cheap inexpensive video guys who will always undercut each other simply to get the work. However, those same guys will have no clue who your ideal clients are. Those same guys will have no idea how to help you create a compelling message. Those same guys have never created video that has generated valid calls and valid cases that have generated profit for a law firm.

So the question for you, as an attorney who is trying to decide how to create a video marketing strategy and then implement that strategy, is whether you want to use the cheapest video guys around and hope that your videos will generate calls.

Another question for you…Why would you ever choose some video guy with no track record, no history, and someone who has no idea whether what you are saying on video violates any ethics rules?

More importantly, why would you ever want to pay rock-bottom dollar knowing full well that these rock-bottom video guys have never been able to create videos for attorneys that have generated calls, valid cases and profit for the law firm?

If you think that hiring lowest-cost video guy is going to help you with your video marketing strategy, good luck with that.

If, on the other hand, you want a proven, tested and experienced trial lawyer who can show you the exact videos that have generated calls that turned into valid cases that generated profit for my law firm, then I invite you to call me at 516-487-8207.

The choice is yours. What’s your strategy? Importantly, how are you going to implement that strategy to get you where to where you want to go?

I think we shot at least 50 videos in one day, which to me was amazing. That was probably the thing I was most nervous about when you said we were going to shoot 50 videos, I thought we would be here until midnight and it’s well short of midnight when we finished. So I’m really pleased with the amount of work that we got done in one day.
I would say call Gerry. He’ll spend the time with you on the phone to talk to you about what he does. It’s not a hard sell.
